Joe Parks

After graduating from college, Joe worked for Merrill Lynch for five years in Birmingham, New York City and Greensboro, NC. His experience varied from operations management to Operations Liaison between the home office and all Merrill Lynch offices to Account Executive, responsible for management of client accounts.

Joe entered the resort residential real estate business in 1973. He has been responsible for developments in varied locations along the coasts of South Carolina to include Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head Island and Charleston. He also has had experience in the resort areas of northeast coastal Florida. His development experience ranges from oceanfront condominiums to planned communities.

Currently Joe is the General Manager and a development partner of The Mountain Club at Cashiers, a private residence club in western North Carolina.  This is his first venture into fractional ownership and was a natural extension from his previous experience. He says that the development and operation of this private residence club is the “most fun he has ever had in the resort development business”. “Our owners are fascinating people from varied backgrounds, but all have an interesting story to tell.”

Jane Dussault

Club Manager

Jane Dussault

Jane  moved to  Cashiers, North Carolina to escape the summer heat, but it was the wonderful people and their friendliness that made Jane decide to call Cashiers her permanent home. Originally from Albany, New York, Jane and Bob, her husband,  moved to a Chicago suburb where they called home for 30 years. During the time they lived just outside of Chicago, they raised two boys and she worked in all aspects of nursing at a local trauma center. In 1994 they  built a home on Hilton Head Island and semi-retired, but the heat and humidity influenced them to build a home in Cashiers.

Jane has been  involved with Mountain Club, since its  beginning in 2002, working as part of  the management team. Originally Jane’s primary responsibility was to ensure  the high quality and placement of all furnishings in the  residences and club house. Now serving as Club Manager, Jane enjoys her daily contact with all members, many of whom have become good friends. In her free time she enjoys tennis, walking Fairfield Lake and cooking.

John Woods

John Woods literally had the choice to live anywhere in the world and chose to locate to the mountains of North Carolina. Originally from Florence, South Carolina, he graduated from  Clemson University and Francis Marion University before serving in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer. During his ten year naval career John received numerous personal awards and citations for his service.

John relocated to Cashiers, North Carolina in 2004 and completed his MBA before accepting his first position with the Mountain Club as the Membership Coordinator.  John spent his first two (2) years with the Mountain Club learning about fractional ownership, understanding and mastering all the aspects of operating the Mountain Club on a daily basis and completing his Broker license before moving into his current position at the Mountain Club. John truly is a lover of the outdoors. When John’s not working as a Membership Advisor at Mountain Club, he is spending his free time with his two children (Patrick and MacKenzie), snow skiing, snowboarding, working in the yard or just enjoying the outdoors.
